This Comprehensive Services are provided by Housing Agents who are IEA Members with comprehensive knowledge to assist HDB flat owners to handle routine rental matters arising from subletting of flat with HDB's approval. Consumer can choose from list of names below to engage these Housing Agents to handle the Leasing and Managing of their HDB Flats.

Explain clearly the eligibility conditions, responsibilities and HDB's requirements to HDB flat owners before putting up their flats for rent.

Explain clearly each of the terms and conditions of the Tenancy Agreement, the eligibility criteria for 'Whole Flat Subletting'.

Explain clearly the consequence of any breaches of the terms and conditions of the Tenancy Agreement by the Tenant & Owners.

Carry out visual inspections for and on behalf of the Owners and generate monthly rental reports (if necessary)

(2) Managing Rental Flats

To help Owners to attend to any complaints that the Tenant may have during the period of the Tenancy Agreement.

To help Owners attend to minor repairs

To help Owners to liaise with the Tenant for extention of lease or entering into a new Tenancy Agreement.

(3) Fees

For the Professional Fees, Owners can refer to IEA's Guide on Professional Fees at http://www.iea.org.sg/index.cfm?GPID=10. Any further negotiations as to their fees will strictly be between the Owner and the Housing Agents. For the Professional Fees, Owners will have to negotiate the fees directly with the Housing Agents and themselves as the IEA's Guide on Professional Fees has been abolished on 25th September 2008 as required by the Competition Committee of Singapore

The benefit for the Owners engaging Housing Agents to Lease and Manage their HDB Flats is that, Housing Agents are more familiar with the industry's practice and would be in a better position to advice prospective Owners concerns, especially where many are experiencing for the first time renting out their homes.
